Arjun Rampal To Clash With Saif Ali Khan & Sunny Deol At The Box-Office
Arjun Rampal has now changed the release date of Daddy from July 21 to September 8 on request of Arun Gawli’s daughter. However, he is still going to clash with Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Deol at the ticket windows
Arjun Rampal's home production Daddy, which is a biopic on the life of gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli, has now shifted its release date. Daddy was slated to hit theatres on July 21, but now it will release on September 8.
The reason for this change in date is quite interesting. It so happened that Arun Gawli's real-life daughter, Geeta Gawli, met Arjun and requested to change the release date of the film to September. She said that there are high chances that Arun, who is currently behind bars, will be out on parole in September. So, it shall be a great time to release the film when Arun Gawli himself can see it and the audience reactions. Arjun relented and changed the release date to September 8.

Sadly, this change in dates will spew new trouble for the film.
If the film was releasing on July 21, it would have clashed with Tiger Shroff's Munna Michael and Ekta Kapoor's Lipstick Under My Burkha. But that's averted. However, on September 8, Arjun will have to clash at the ticket windows with Saif Ali Khan's Kaalakaandi and Sunny Deol-Bobby Deol starrer Poster Boys. Both the films have big stars and the makers would cash in on that to maximum effect.
It shall be interesting to see how the film distributors get divided on the said Friday. Considering Arjun is the solo producer on Daddy, will Arjun be able to coax them to give him more screens than Kaalakaandi and Poster Boys? Well, time will tell.
